Biology and Culture[]
Sullustans were jowled, mouse-eared near humans with large, round eyes. They hailed from Sullust, a harsh, volcanic planet with numerous caves; it was within these caves that these people have made their homes.
Diminutive, Sullustans ranged from 1 to 1.5 meters in height and had round, tapered skulls. Sullustans were distinguishable for their almond-shaped black eyes, facial jowls, called dewflaps and big pointed ears. Their wide ear lobes provide excellent hearing and their large eyes provided exceptional low light vision. Perhaps due to their relative lack of exposure to natural light, Sullustans began to suffer from corneal defects after 30 standard years. After significant deterioration, many chose to wear special visors to prevent further damage.
While their eyes were prone to failure, Sullustan livers were capable of preventing a Sullustan from getting a hangover, even though they were just as easy as a human to get drunk. Sullustans, like humans, had one heart and one stomach. Unlike humans though, facial hair was rare amongst Sullustan males, but it did occur, often in the form of a beard. Cranial hair was very rare amongst males but common amongst females who wore it in manners to express their individuality.
Mentally, Sullustans possessed exceptional intuition, with many able to navigate a path after seeing a map only once. This ability extended to sublight and hyperspace navigation, as well as patrol work, so much so that Sullustans who joined the Rebel Alliance were put to use foiling Imperial covert operations. Sullust is controlled by the huge SoroSuub Corporation, which has enforced harsh work procedures and regulations upon its people - however, this condition is still preferable to conquest and enslavement at the hands of the Empire.
Special Abilities[]
Enhanced Senses: Sullustans have advanced senses of hearing and vision. Whenever they make Perception or search checks involving vision in low-light conditions or hearing, they receive a +2D bonus.
Location Sense: Once a Sullustan has visited an area, he always remembers how to return to the area - he cannot get lost in a place that he has visited before. This is automatic and requires no die roll. When using the astrogation skill to jump to a place a Sullustan has been, the astrogator receives a bonus of +1D to his die roll.
